Alliance House League Championships Wrap Up
Submitted By CYO Admin on Wednesday, April 24, 2019
Congratulations to all of our Championship Weekend winners who advanced to the Alliance House League Championships held in Woodstock, ON from April 11-14. Being one of the best teams in Ontario is definitely something to be proud of. Our representatives for each division were:
Novice - SOTS/St. Denis WingKings
Atom - Immaculée Conception Canadiens
Peewee - Immaculée Conception Canadiens
Bantam - Immaculée Conception Canadiens
Midget - Star of the Sea Red Wings

All of our CYO teams had a fun weekend. The Atom Canadiens fared the best winning all three games in their pool to advance to the semi-finals. They lost a close game to the eventual Atom Champions.

The Peewee Canadiens were 2-1 and advanced as a wildcard to the semi-finals, but lost to a strong Waterloo team who were crowned the Peewee Champions. The Bantam Canadiens went 0-1-1, but the games were very close. In the quarter-final game the team went to double-overtime before a winner was declared.

The SOTS Red Wings finished 2nd in their pool (1-1-1) to advance to the semi-finals, but lost to a very strong Kitchener team. Our youngest group the Novice WingKings went 0-3, but had close games despite what the scoreboard showed.

Overall, it was one of the most successful trips to the Alliance Championships for St. Catharines CYO. Congratulations on a great weekend to all the teams representing St. Catharines CYO Hockey!
